Updated T-Mobile document shows HTC Sensation 4G, myTouch devices no longer EOL

Remember that leaked T-Mobile document from a few days ago that claimed that a handful of devices, including the HTC Amaze 4G and Sensation 4G, were nearing end-of-life status? Well it seems as though things may have changed since then, as an updated inventory screen sent to our Magenta friends at TmoNews shows that some of those handsets are no longer bearing the EOL indicator. The Sensation 4G, myTouch 4G Slide, myTouch and myTouch Q are all now carrying a "Sell Through" designation. That means that although they haven't quite reached EOL just yet, production on the devices in question will soon be stopping. Meanwhile, the Amaze 4G and DoublePlay are still listed as EOL.

As TmoNews points out, just because a phone hits end-of-life, that doesn't mean that you'll no longer be able to get updates or support for it. What it does mean is that EOL handsets will slowly disappear from stores as the remaining stock is sold and isn't replenished. As for what T-Mobile has in the pipeline, well, that's still a bit of a mystery. We know that the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G is coming and that the HTC Ville is rumored to be Magenta-bound, but outside of that T-Mobile's roadmap is still up in the air. Here's to hoping that more details surface soon.
