Sony Ericsson teases new device ahead of CES

Interested in what Sony Ericsson has up its sleeve for CES? The company isn't quite ready to give up all the details just yet, but it is more than happy to tease us just days before the big show. The image you see above was posted to Sony Ericsson's Facebook page today, comprising of four close-up shots of a mysterious device. Sony Ericsson didn't offer up any clues as to what the product in question may be, but some folks think that the camera button is reminiscent of the one found on the Xperia Arc, suggesting that this handset may be an Arc successor.

Although we'll likely have to wait until we arrive in Las Vegas to know what this device is for sure, there are a couple of phones that've leaked recently that could be it. First is the Nozomi, a handset that's leaked a couple of times now and is rumored to pack a 4.3-inch 720p display and 1.5GHz dual-core processor. Another possibility is the LT28at, which is said to feature a 4.55-inch 720p display and 13-megapixel camera that's produced some impressive photos. The fact that several of the images in Sony Ericsson's collage have to do with the mystery phone's camera may suggest that that will be a key feature of the device, which may add credence to the LT28at theory. Whether one of these guesses is accurate or whether Sony Ericsson's mystery device is something else entirely is still up in the air, but the good news is that CES is just a few short days away, so we don't have long to wait to find out once and for all.
