HTC Droid Incredible 2, Amaze 4G each get a maintenance update

Earlier today the Motorola DROID Bionic was treated to a tasty software update, and now it seems that a pair of HTC-made handsets are getting some maintenance updates to call their own. First up, the HTC DROID Incredible 2 on Verizon. A new document posted to Verizon's support has revealed that the DInc 2 is going to be on the receiving end of a new update with the build number 5.10.605.9. The update weighs in at 29.335MB and, although it's not the most bundle of new software ever, it does contain several worthwhile patches and bug fixes:

Security Features

  • Includes Google BT/DigiNoTar security patch.
  • Includes Google security patch for upgrading libpng to 1.2.46.
  • Includes Wi-Fi password security patch.

Device Features

  • Support local video playback when in Airplane Mode.
  • 5 bar Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) support.
  • Improvements to Clock and Alarm features.
  • The “Disable While Roaming” selection will work accurately when roaming in Canada.
  • Update Sync & Connect configuration to enable Push email sync during off-peak hours.

Along with the Incredible 2, the HTC Amaze 4G on T-Mobile is also due for an update. The Amaze's slice of new software goodness is build number 1.43.531.3 and brings with it IMS Wi-Fi calling and a few bug fixes, including improvements to the device's Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.
