Earlier today Verizon officially took the wraps off of 8.2-inch and 10.1-inch Motorola DROID Xyboard tablets and gave us the goods on specs and pricing for the pair. One thing Verizon failed to mention, though, was exactly when the things will be launching, instead reiterating its previous announcement that they'll be coming sometime this month. Thankfully we don't have to wait around for another announcement from the folks at Big Red, as an image sent over to Droid-Life has shown that both Xyboards will be launching on December 12th.
It seems kind of strange that Verizon wouldn't include an official release date for the DROID Xyboard pair in its big reveal earlier today since it's now giving its employees one, but hey, we're not ones to question the inner workings of a carrier. The good news is that any interested customers now know exactly how much longer they've got to save their pennies before the Xyboards finally hit retail shelves. As long as these dates hold true, expect to hear (yet another) announcement from Verizon soon.
