Last month we learned that C Spire Wireless would become the fourth carrier to offer the iPhone 4S here in the U.S., and now the folks at C Spire have spilled the beans on 4S availability. Apple's new smartphone will go on sale at C Spire on Friday, November 11th with with the same on-contract pricing that we've seen on the other operators so far: $199/16GB, $299/32GB, $399/64GB. C Spire will also offer an 8GB iPhone 4 for $99.99 with a two-year commitment. Pre-registration for all devices starts today and can be found here. As far as plans go, iPhone-toting customers will have four different options to choose from:
- $50 per month for 500 minutes, unlimited text, and unlimited data with no streaming
- $70 per month for unlimited minutes, texting, and non-streaming data
- $90 per month for 1,000 minutes, unlimited text, unlimited data (streaming included)
- $100 per month for unlimited talk, text, and data (streaming included)
Although C Spire's iPhone 4S launch is coming almost a month after AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon's releases, the carrier formerly known as Cellular South could be the way to go for folks that don't yet have an iPhone and live in its coverage area, which includes quite a few major areas in the southern U.S. such as Memphis, the Florida Panhandle, Mississippi, and parts of Alabama. Not only does C Spire's plans included unlimited data — something that AT&T and Verizon no longer offer — but the monthly charge gets even cheaper for customers that don't do any kind of music or video streaming.
