It was just a few hours ago that Samsung and Google sent out invites for the rescheduled event where the two companies are expected to unveil Android Ice Cream Sandwich and the new Nexus device, and now the latter of the two is back in the news. This time, the Nexus has reportedly popped up in Verizon's Device Management system under the moniker "Samsung Galaxy Nexus," a name that's been kicked around quite a bit as of late. No one's been sure as to whether the new Nexus would actually come to market as the Galaxy Nexus or Nexus Prime or Nexus something-else-entirely, but now it looks like Galaxy Nexus just pulled ahead in the name race.
Also shown in the leaked image is that the Nexus will feature 4G LTE connectivity, which has been rumored for a while now, and that it won't be a global device. That last part is kind of a bummer, not only because a GSM Nexus would be ready for use overseas but also because Verizon has other global Android devices in its lineup. Of course, none of this is officially official just yet, but the good news is that we're less than a week away from finding it all out once and for all.
