Then you may be interested in the new Monthly4G prepaid plan announced today by T-Mobile and Walmart. Available only through Walmart (stores and website) and T-Mobile.com, the new plan offers customers unlimited text and web (5GB at 4G speeds) along with 100 voice minutes for just $30 per month. Should you find yourself extremely talkative while using this plan, any minutes used after the initial 100 will set you back $0.10 each. The new plan will be available starting October 16th.
T-Mobile's latest Monthly4G prepaid plan sounds like a pretty great deal for folks that rarely talk on their phones, especially since it gives customers a full 5GB of access to Magenta's 4G HSPA+ network before having their speeds slowed. The full press release is available for your perusal below.
UPDATE: For those of you curious about this plan and which devices can be used with it, T-Mobile has told our pals at TmoNews that any "capable" handset can be paired with the new prepaid plan. This means you should be able to use just about any handset you can get your paws on, from a basic flip phone up to the forthcoming Galaxy S II. That said, T-Mobile and Walmart will be offering six specific devices alongside the new plan: Nokia 1616, LG GS170, T-Mobile Sparq, Samsung Dart, and Nokia X2. This doesn't mean that only these six devices can be used with the $30 plan, just that they're the ones that have been chosen to be marketed with it.

With increased consumer demand for both no-annual contract wireless plans and faster data speeds, Walmart and T-Mobile USA, Inc. announced today that T-Mobile will launch a $30 unlimited web and text monthly 4G prepaid service plan — providing customers great value on a no-annual contract 4G data offering. The plan will be sold exclusively in-store at more than 2,200 Walmart stores and online at www.walmart.com and www.T-Mobile.com and is expected to launch Oct. 16.
The new flexible and affordable plan will provide Walmart customers with access to America’s Largest 4G Network™. In a survey of Walmart customers, approximately 60 percent cited that having a high-speed data network was a key factor in the purchase of a wireless service plan. With this new offering, available for $30 per month and no annual contract, customers can enjoy unlimited Web, with the first 5 GB at up to 4G speeds; unlimited text; and 100 minutes of talk, with 10 cents per minute after the first 100 minutes.
In further expansion of this offer, Walmart is increasing its line-up of affordable T-Mobile phones to six, including the addition of Walmart’s first 4G prepaid handset.
