LG Esteem details surface, headed for MetroPCS with 4.3-inch display and LTE in tow [UPDATED]

Get excited, MetroPCS customers, because details on a new LTE smartphone that's headed your way have hit the web. The handset staring you in the face up there is known as the LG Esteem, a device we first saw waaaaay back in mid-July with the codename LG Bryce. Thankfully, the Esteem's name isn't the only new bit of information we have about the phone, as images from LG's partner portal have also given up most of its spec details:

  • 4.3-inch display
  • 1GHz Snapdragon core
  • 5-megapixel camera
  • 720p video capture
  • 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter
  • 8GB storage
  • 512MB RAM
  • 1,500mAh battery
  • MetroPCS LTE connectivity
  • Android 2.3 beneath a custom LG UI

Unfortunately, one thing that the screenshots don't show is when the Esteem's going to be launching or how much it'll cost when it does. It's worth pointing out, though, that one Howard Forums user that correctly predicted the specs and price of the Samsung Admire has claimed that the Esteem will cost $379 at launch. That number is by no means official, but it's at least something to keep in the back of your mind for now. What do all of you MetroPCS folk think of the Esteem? Is it a worthy addition to an LTE lineup that currently consists of the Samsung Craft and Galaxy Indulge?

UPDATE: The Android Central tipster has chimed in to share that the Esteem will be priced at $349 with a $100 mail-in rebate.
