The rumor mill has churned out a few claims about what kind of specs we may see in the iPhone 5, including a larger display and an 8-megapixel camera. One feature we haven't heard much about, though, is storage capacity. Both the iPhone 3GS and the iPhone 4 launched in 16GB and 32GB flavors, which, combined with the fact that the iPod touch is available with 64GB of memory, lead some to wonder if Apple's next smartphone would have its storage bumped up as well. If a Vodafone UK product page is to be believed, though, customers interested in the iPhone 5 will once again be presented with 16GB and 32GB options. As you can see above, the Vodafone Sure Signal product page listed the device as being compatible with 16GB and 32GB versions of the iPhone 5. The page also mentioned both black and white models of the iPhone 5. All four devices have since been removed from the list.
As with most iPhone rumors, it'd probably be wise to take this listing with a grain or two of your favorite salt. It's entirely possible that Apple will stick with the 16GB/32GB iPhone variants that we've seen the past couple of years, especially with the company's recent introduction of iCloud and iTunes Match. However, someone at Vodafone may have just put the iPhone 5 listings up under the assumption that Apple won't be upping the new device's storage capacity. At this point it could likely go either way, but the good news is that we likely don't have much longer to wait before the iPhone 5 is actually introduced and all of these rumors can be put to rest.
