And just like that, everything is nice and official. Hot on the heels of the emergence of some leaked specs for the HTC Eternity and Omega, both handsets have been confirmed by the folks at HTC. We'll kick things off with the HTC Titan, which is packing a rather large 4.7-inch 800x480 Super LCD display. Other specs include a single-core 1.5GHz MSM8255 processor, 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and the same BSI sensor as the Radar, 1.3-megapixel camera around front, 16GB of storage (up to 12.63GB of which are available), 512MB RAM, 1,600mAh battery, and Windows Phone Mango in a package that measures 9.9mm thick. The Titan is expected to hit Europe first in October. No U.S. availability has been given at this time, but the Titan has been rumored to be headed for AT&T.
Next up is the the HTC Radar, the device formerly known as Omega. The Radar features a 3.8-inch 800x480 Super LCD display, 1GHz MSM8255 processor, 5-megapixel camera with LED flash and BSI sensor for better low-light photos, 720p video capture, VGA front-facing camera, 8GB of storage (up to 6.54GB of which are available), 512MB RAM, 1,520mAh battery, and Windows Phone Mango. Just like the Titan, the Radar is expected to hit Europe in October. Also just like the Titan, there's no U.S. availability info for the Radar right now, although it's reportedly destined to hit T-Mobile.
Overall both the Radar and Titan look like nice additions to the Windows Phone family. The sheer size of the Titan may drive away folks that have small hands, but for anyone that's of the mindset that "bigger is better," the 4.7-inch smartphone may just be the way to go. Both HTC TITAN and HTC Radar include a dedicated hardware camera button which enables you to capture vivid images without unlocking the phone while the f/2.2 aperture lens and back-illuminated sensor provide improved low-light performance – making sure you never miss that perfect shot.
