Good news for the folks in the European Union that have had their eyes on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1: it's been revealed that a German court has temporarily lifted the injunction that barred European sales of the Tab 10.1. The suspension is effective across all of the EU except for Germany, where Samsung is still not allowed to distribute its 10-inch tablet. A hearing on the matter is still scheduled for August 25th.
This news comes hot on the heels of news that Apple may have used inaccurate or doctored images of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in its original complaint against Samsung. However, it doesn't appear that the images played a part in the injunction temporarily being lifted. A court spokesperson explained that the suspension on the injunction came about because it's debatable whether or not a German court can ban a Korean company from selling its products outside of Germany. As mentioned before, a hearing on the case is still scheduled for August 25th, at which point we could see Apple's injunction against Samsung lifted completely. Stay tuned!
