Samsung Conquer 4G training underway at Sprint

We haven't heard much about the Samsung Conquer 4G ever since it popped up on — and promptly disappeared from — Samsung's website back at the tail end of June, but it looks like Sprint is finally gearing up to throw the WiMAX-capable handset up on its shelves. An image sent over to the folks at Android Central shows that Sprint employees are now training with the Conquer 4G and learning how to convince you to walk out of your local Sprint store with one in your pocket. There's no mention of a release date here, but this past weekend a leaked Sprint document showed that the Conquer may hit on August 21st.

For those that'd like a refresher, the Conquer 4G is packing a 3.5-inch 320x480 display, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.2-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel FFC, 2GB microSD card preinstalled, WiMAX connectivity, Sprint ID support, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Sounds like a bit of a mid-range device, no? Now we just need to wait for Sprint to make the Conquer officially official and announce pricing information. If the rumored August 21st launch date holds true, expect an announcement in the next couple of weeks.
