Good news, Android fans! Google just announced that a new version of the Android Market is now rolling out to phones in the wild. The refreshed Market features a fancy new design that we originally saw back in May, the ability to purchase books and rent movies, and a streamlined look and feel to make finding and buying apps quicker and easier. The new Market is available to handsets running Android 2.2 or higher and is now in a "phased roll-out." Google says that everyone should have the new Android Market in the coming weeks. As I said before when we first got a peek at this redesigned version of the Android Market, I think Google's done a great job of with its revamp. The new UI looks clean and it meshes well with Android 2.3 and the whole Gingerbread look and feel. It's kind of a bummer that not everyone will get access to the new Market right away, but I'm sure the Android community will figure out a way around that.
