And the HTC ThunderBolt Gingerbread saga continues. The latest chapter in the story comes in the form of an email sent to a TBolt owner from a friendly HTC representative. According to the rep, HTC and Verizon are working to prepare an update that'll not only fix the TBolt's pesky reboot issue but also include Android 2.3 and some other enhancements (sound familiar?). Unsurprisingly, the HTC rep didn't have a concrete release date for said update, but she did promise that it's coming "soon."
This isn't the first time that an HTC rep has talked up the ThunderBolt's Gingerbread update: back in March, we were told it would be coming before the end of Q2. Last week we heard a rumor claim that the update would be landing on June 30th, which just so happens to be the final day of Q2. Whether or not it'll actually be released on that date remains to be seen, but you can bet we'll let you know more when we do.
