Vizio's Android-powered VIA Tablet slips into the FCC

Way, way back in January, the folks at Vizio announced plans to release an Android-powered phone and tablet combo, but information on both devices has been fairly scarce ever since. That changes today, as the Vizio VTAB1008 just passed through the FCC. There's not a ton of new info contained within the report, but it's worth mentioning that earlier this week the slate was spotted in Walmart's systems earlier this week with a $349 price tag.

For those of you that need a refresher, here's what we know about the Vizio tablet: it's got an 8-inch "high resolution" touchscreen, 1GHz processor, front-facing camera, HDMI out, a "three-speaker design for stereo audio in both portrait and landscape modes," and an unknown version of Android. Unfortunately, it's not yet known exactly when the Vizio tablet or its little phone brother will actually hit store shelves, but the fact that its appeared at both the FCC and at Walmart in the same week suggests that a launch may not be far off. So, what do you all make of Vizio's entry into the tablet market? Has its potential $349 price piqued your interest at all?
