Samsung: LTE Galaxy Tab coming later this year, Galaxy S III in 1H 2012

Samsung hasn't released either the Galaxy Tab 10.1 or 8.9 yet, but that hasn't stopped the company from revealing its plans to roll out another Tab later this year. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, J.K. Shin, president of Samsung's mobile division, explained that his company will be launching an Android-powered tablet with LTE connectivity, although he didn't say exactly when the device might arrive or which carrier(s) will carry it when it does. Shin also said that Samsung is planning to release a third Galaxy S handset in the first half of next year.

Unsurprisingly, Shin also briefly touched on Samsung's legal situation with Apple, simply saying that his company "didn't copy Apple's design" and that the lawsuit "will not be legally problematic" for the company.

The news that Samsung is prepping a 4G-enabled tablet doesn't come as much of a shock since it's kind of expected that they'd launch an LTE tablet at some point in the future, and the Galaxy S III isn't surprising either considering the popularity of the previous models. Still, for fans of the Tabs and Galaxy Ses of the world, it's good to know that those products are coming down the pipeline. Just don't let the fact that a Galaxy S III is coming in 1H 2012 reduce your interest in the Galaxy S II and its U.S. variants. After all, if you always wait for the next best thing in mobile tech, you'll never be able to actually buy and enjoy a phone.
