Itching to get a better idea of what makes the Motorola DROID 3 tick? Today's your lucky day, as the next device in Motorola's keyboard-toting DROID line has been spotted over at benchmarking site Nenamark. There's not a ton of info available in the test, but it does reveal that the D3 is packing a PowerVR SGX 540 GPU, a good indicator that the handset will likely feature a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor and not a Tegra 2 like some had hoped. The benchmark also shows that the D3 will have a 960x540 qHD display, which we've learned will be a four inches in size, and was running Android 2.3.3. when it took the test.
Although it's still not clear exactly when the DROID 3 might launch, we have been able to piece together most of its specs thanks to a few leaked photos and reports. Most folks don't think that the D3 will come with LTE connectivity, which is kind of a bummer, but with a 4-inch qHD display, dual-core processor, and sliding physical QWERTY complete with a dedicated number row, it could be the Android phone that a lot of folks have been waiting for.
