Although nothing's been confirmed just yet, it's looking likely that that there'll be no new iPhone announced at this year's Worldwide Developers Conference, with Apple instead focusing strictly on software. Today we've got more evidence to support that rumor, courtesy of a few iOS developers. As you can see in the usage log above, iOS 5 is in the process of being tested on all kinds of Apple devices before its official reveal in early June. It's also worth noting that the iPhone 3GS has also appeared in usage logs with iOS 5 in tow, although it's not yet clear how much support the device will actually get in the next major iOS revision.
We regular folk probably won't get to try out iOS 5 until the iPhone 5 is released, which could happen in September, but iOS devs will likely get their hands on a beta version new software during WWDC or shortly thereafter, so it's not shocking to learn that Apple is putting the OS through its paces before the big show. There's still not much info on exactly what kind of changes Apple has brewing in iOS 5, but the good news is that we're just a little over a month from finding out. Stay tuned!
