Rumor: Motorola Bullet, Jet are the firm's first two Tegra 3 Android phones

Sure, we've already seen a few unannounced Motorola Android phones like the Targa and DROID 3 leak recently, but you wouldn't mind if we added a couple more rumored devices to the pile, right? Right. According to a source speaking with Droid-Life, Moto is currently hard at work at two devices which admittedly may not be revealed until Q1 2012, but when you find out the specs that these handsets are reportedly packing, you'll agree that the wait may be worth it. First up, the full-touch Motorola Bullet (likely a codename):

  • 4.3-inch 960x540 display
  • Tegra 3 quad-core processor
  • Either 1GB or 1.5GB RAM
  • 12-megapixel camera with revamped image sensor
  • 16GB of built-in storage
  • NFC

Following the Bullet, we've got the Jet (another codename):

  • 4-inch 960x540 display
  • Tegra 3 quad-core CPU
  • Either 1GB or 1.5GB RAM
  • The same 12-megapixel camera as the Bullet
  • 16GB built-in storage
  • NFC
  • Chiclet-style physical QWERTY keyboard

As with most rumors, you should probably digest this info with a few grains of salt, as it hasn't even been confirmed by multiple sources yet. Still, some of the details do add up. For example, when NVIDIA detailed its upcoming spat of processors earlier this year, the firm mentioned that the Tegra 3, aka Kal-El, could begin appearing in smartphones by the end of 2011. A lot could change between now and Q1 2012, though, and we don't even know which carriers these devices could be headed for yet. When more info does come out, though, you can be sure that we'll let you know.
