Motorola: DROID Bionic not cancelled, but may be pushed to the third quarter

Last week, we heard rumors from several different sources claiming that the Motorola DROID Bionic had been cancelled and would be replaced by the Targa. Today Moto finally responded to the rumors, explaining that they're "incorporating several enhancements" to the Bionic based on feedback they've received and that, as a result, the handset's launch may now be pushed back to sometime in the third quarter. However, a launch in the second quarter isn't out of the question yet.

The DROID Bionic is one of the most anticipated devices in Verizon's LTE stable, so it's good to know that it hasn't gotten the axe after all. It's kind of a bummer that we may have to wait until Q3 to actually get our paws on the Bionic, but we'll let that slide since Moto says they're using the extra time to make the device even better. Now that we know that the Bionic is alive and well, how many of you plan on picking one up?
