HTC Shooter leaks with qHD display and Gingerbread, could be EVO 3D

Yesterday we saw a few new HTC product renders leak out to the world, and today the HTC mysterious device leaking fun continues. A heretofore unknown device called the HTC Shooter has been spotted performing over at GLBenchmark and, while there's not a ton of info available about the device, the site does reveal that it's an Android 2.3.2 device with the model number PG86100, a 960x540 qHD display, Adreno 220 GPU, and the ability to run on Sprint's network. Based on the fact that its GPU will be used alongside some upcoming Qualcomm chipsets and the timing of the info, Blog of Mobile speculates that the Shooter will feature a 1.2GHz CPU and could end up being the EVO 3D that is slated to debut at Sprint's CTIA event.

We're still missing some key specs on the HTC Shooter, namely its screen size and confirmation of what kind of processor its sporting, but so far it sounds like a pretty enticing device. The HTC EVO (if it is the EVO 3D) name, combined with a qHD display and Gingerbread under the hood, could make for a popular handset. Of course, if the Shooter is indeed the EVO 3D, there's also the 3D factor to consider, which many folks don't seem completely sold on just yet. If the Shooter/EVO 3D does end up materializing at Sprint's CTIA event next week, you know we'll be bringing all of the info you need live. Stay tuned!

Thanks, Dan!
