Remember that rumor that claimed that Sprint may be planning to reveal three new Android devices at CTIA later this month? Today we've got more evidence that that rumor will become reality, courtesy of the USPTO. It's been revealed that HTC recently filed to trademark the name "HTC EVO View 4G," all but confirming that a Sprint/HTC tablet is in the works. Interestingly, the trademark filing includes "4G" in the name, too, hinting that the device will be WiMAX-ready once to arrives on Sprint's shelves.
Considering that the only tablet currently in Sprint's lineup is the Samsung Galaxy Tab, a 4G, HTC-made tablet has the potential to be a hit with the Sprint faithful. That is, unless they haven't already got their hearts set on an iPad, XOOM, or PlayBook. Pricing is going to play an important role in how well a WiMAX Flyer does with Sprint subscribers, so hopefully the carrier is able to offer the tablet at a cost that's a little more reasonable than the Flyer's rumored $600 price that we heard about yesterday.
