Motorola DROID X2 spotted in the FCC?

The DROID X2 hasn't been made official by Verizon or Motorola just yet, but we may have just gotten a step closer to that announcement. A Motorola handset just appeared in the FCC and, thanks to its CDMA radio and lack of LTE, many are speculating that it's the X2. Unfortunately, a 180 day confidentiality letter has been included in the filing, meaning that it'll be a while before we learn for sure exactly what the subject of this entry is.

It's tough to guess exactly which handheld Motorola is passing through the FCC with this filing, but there do seem to be a lot of signs pointing toward the X2. Besides the EV-DO Rev. A radio, there's also the fact that the 180 confidentiality letter will reveal all of the info later this summer. The original X came out on July 15th, so perhaps Moto is planning to push out the X2 around the same date. Then again, there's no indication that this handset is running Android, so it's possible that this could be an entirely different product.  We'll keep you updated. What do you all think? Is this indeed the DROID X2, or does Moto have another CDMA device up its sleeve?
