More T-Mobile smartphones see price adjustments

The other day, T-Mobile announced a bit of a pricing change for the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, bumping the cost from $149.99 to $199.99 with a two-year contract. It turns out that the Galaxy S 4G isn't the only T-Mo handset getting slapped with a new price tag, as our friends at TmoNews learned earlier today and has just being confirmed by Magenta. The most notable changes include the G2 and myTouch 4G getting priced at $249.99, sans any kind of mail-in rebate. Not every device is getting a price increase, though, as the Vibrant and myTouch 3G Slide now cost $149.99 with a $50 rebate, bringing the total cost to $99.99. Check out the full document, which includes more price cuts on some Samsung feature phones, right here.

Usually when we hear of a smartphone getting a price adjustment, especially one that's a few months old, the cost of the handset goes down, not up. That's why it's kind of surprising to see T-Mo raise the prices of the G2 and myTouch 4G, which launched in October and November 2010, respectively. I don't know about you, but another free G2 promotion sure sounds good right about now.
