HTC Merge appears on Best Buy's site, still destined for Verizon's shelves?

There still may be no concrete release date for the HTC Merge, or even an official acknowledgement of it, but if you were planning on picking one up  and need some accessories for it, Best Buy has a plethora of them for you to choose from. There's no real info on the handset to be found, but there is one interesting tidbit about the Merge that's worth mentioning: it's listed as a Verizon device. The Merge recently reappeared with a rumor claiming that it would be headed to Alltel after a long absence, but perhaps this is evidence that HTC and Big Red are still planning to launch it soon, too?

Verizon's most definitely got some awesome Android phones coming down the pipeline, like the ThunderBolt and DROID Bionic, but there isn't much going on for those of us that refuse to give up our physical keyboards. The G2 has "easily one of the best physical boards" according to our own Aaron Baker, and since the Merge looks a lot like Big Red's version of the G2, I'd be willing to bet that the Merge's QWERTY is pretty good, too. What say you, readers? Would you like to see Verizon launch the Merge, or have you moved on to another device?
