A couple of weeks ago, four new BlackBerrys leaked out and got us seriously excited about RIM's 2011 lineup. Today we've reached maximum 'Berry overload, though, as more unannounced devices have made their way onto the Internet. First up is a device that CrackBerry is referring to as the Curve Touch. As you can see above, it looks a lot like the Storm 3 that was leaked earlier this month, although its specs are slightly more low-end. Set for launch some time in late 2011 or early 2012, the alleged specs for the Curve Touch are:
- 3.25-inch, 480x360 display
- 800MHz Qualcomm MSM8655 processor
- 5 megapixel camera with HD video capture
- 1GB Flash storage with microSD slot
- 512MB RAM
- NFC, microUSB, Bluetooth 2.1
The second device from RIM that was leaked today is codenamed Montana, and it's basically just a CDMA variant of the Dakota. This 'Berry is allegedly going to come to market sometime in Q3 2011 with the name Bold Touch. The Montana's specs are the mostly identical to the Dakota's, which includes:
- 2.8-inch, 640x480 display
- 1.2GHz Qualcomm processor
- 5 megapixel camera with flash and HD video capture
- 8GB of storage with microSD support
- 768MB of RAM
- NFC, microUSB, Bluetooth
To round things out, the folks at CrackBerry got their hands on RIM's 2011 CDMA BlackBerry roadmap, which gives launch windows for every CDMA 'Berry this year. As you can see, the PlayBook is coming in Q2, the Bold Touch and Monaco Touch/Storm 3 are planned for Q3, the Sedona is scheduled for some time between Q3 and Q4, and the Curve Touch is set for launch between the end of 2011 and beginning of 2012.
This news is quite a bit to take in at once, but BlackBerry addicts definitely have a lot to look forward to this year. Some may be disappointed by the lack of dual-core processors, but I have a feeling that a 1.2GHz processor will help handsets like the Montana/Dakota and Torch 2 fly. Overall, one of the biggest surprises of this leak has to be the Curve Touch. Considering the high-end specs and (possibly) high cost of the Storm 3, it's great to see RIM prepping a low-end, full-touch device.
