Motorola DROID Pro gets a maintenance update to call its own

We told you just a couple of days ago that the Samsung Fascinate would soon be getting a good ol' maintenance update, and now it's getting a buddy to join in on the update process.  The Motorola DROID Pro is also receiving an upgrade which should begin rolling out over the air today.  Normally this is where I'd say that the update isn't Froyo, but luckily, the Pro actually launched with it!  Thanks, Moto!  Anyway, this update packs in a handful of improvements, including better voice quality and all-around improved stability and performance.  Pretty important stuff, I'd say.  Check out the full list of enhancements below:

  • Improved audio on voice calls.
  • Improved stability and performance.
  • User interface display now refreshes when user switches from GSM/UMTS communication to Global Mode.
  • Device now prepends 011 to Country Code to send SMS messages.
  • Global Mode no longer resets when connecting to a USB charger.
  • Visual Voice Mail now detects airplane mode while Wi-Fi is active.
  • Prompt return to full screen brightness after wake-up.

These little maintenance updates certainly aren't the most exciting thing ever, especially when you're hoping to be bumped up to the next version of Android like Fascinate owners, but at least it's something.  Besides, how can you say no to added stability and performance?  As always, DROID Pro owners, be sure to hit us up when you get the update and share how it's working for you.
