LG Optimus Pad spotted hanging out in the wild?

We've seen several photos of Motorola's XOOM tablet that will be revealed at CES, but one product that we haven't seen much of is LG's upcoming 8.9-inch tablet.  The folks over at Engadget managed to sneak into CES and snap a couple of photos of the device early, though there's not a lot of information that was gained from the sneak peek.  The status bar is decidedly gray, meaning that there's likely a pre-Gingerbread version of Android running the show.  The software looks like it'll be able to interact with LG's WiFi-connected Thinq appliances to allow for home automation, all controlled by the tablet.

While it's kind of disappointing that there's no real Android action to be found here, it's nice to finally see LG's tablet in the wild.  We've heard that the device will be revealed with Honeycomb in tow at CES, so we should be learning more within the next few days.
