There's been a ton of Nexus S hype lately, but a new handset leaked this morning that could make you forget all about that Samsung-made device. What you see above is codenamed the LG Star, one of the very first dual-core Tegra 2 Android phones (both the Nexus S and an unnamed Motorola Android handset could also end up packing dual-core chips). Arriving some time early next year, this hot new superphone will sport a 4-inch display, a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 8 megapixel camera capable of 1080p video capture, a front-facing cam, a 1500mAh battery, microSD expansion, and, perhaps best of all, a "nearly untouched" version of Android, though which version of the OS is on board isn't specified.
We heard a couple of months back that LG was planning to launch a dual-core device some time in Q4 2010, but as awesome as the Star looks, we'll excuse the short delay. Aiming to please just about any Android fan who obsesses over specs, there doesn't seem to be a single thing to complain about, unless of course you're a hardcare physical QWERTY fanatic. Considering the crazy specs and gigantic Google logo on the back, I'd guess that this thing will be running Gingerbread when it finally comes to market. I just hope that the OS truly is "nearly untouched," because it'd be a shame to have an amazing phone like this come preloaded with Bing...
