Android tablets are on the track to being a dime a dozen, if they aren't already. Currently, there are numerous options for cheap tablets that range from $50 to about $250 and can be found in the depths of eBay and other various interweb hotspots. This time around it's a 7-inch tablet by maker Maylong, and it goes by the unattractive alias, M-150. This wallet-friendly solution may leave you wanting for more on the specifications side of things, but when it comes what you get for the price you pay, you can't complain.
One thing you will undoubtedly be sacrificing for the price of this thing is a decent capacitive touchscreen. The M-150 is equipped with a resistive touchscreen straight out of 1995, and it has a much lower resolution than it's higher-end counterparts. The version of Android this device is using isn't listed, but it does look to sport a slight custom UI. If I were to guess, I would say it's probably still stuck on Android 1.5 or 1.6 with little hope of updating to 2.x. Unfortunately for those who are interested, you won't find any of these in-store at Walgreens, as it is only offered through their online portal. Always remember, you get what you pay for. Although, this could make for a nice gift for little Billy who's been begging for a tablet this Holiday season.
