Motorola knows that there are some issues with the DROID X, but it looks like it's not the only DROID with problems. The flaw appears to be in every stock, unrooted DROID 2, and allows any user to access Google Voice Actions when the handset is locked, even if a passcode needed to unlock the device. This means that anyone could make phone calls, texts, or anything else you can do with Voice Actions without actually getting into your DROID 2. The security hole can be accessed by holding the "Search" softkey or keyboard key while at the lock/passcode screen. Some users are reporting that the DROID X is suffering from the same bug, so it's possible that any Motorola device running 2.2 and BLUR could be affected. This may not seem like a big problem at first, but this hole allows just about anyone to make a phone call without having to know the code or pattern for your device. The good news is that, as you can see in the video, the user is kicked back to the lock screen after a call, so someone can't just go browsing through your phone. Motorola hasn't responded to the issue just yet, but we'll be sure to let you know when/if they do. In the mean time, is anyone else out there able to replicate this problem?
