Although Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy Tab, we don't really know much about the tablet except that it'll be launching on Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile. Pricing and availability information has been left to the carriers to announce and, while we haven't really heard anything concrete, today we've got our first Tab launch rumor for you. The folks at AndroidGuys have received a tip that AT&T has begun training its employees for the Galaxy Tab and that the carrier will be offering a la carte data at the following rates:
- $15/100MB for 1 day
- $30/300MB for 7 days
- $50/1GB for 30 days
I don't know about you, but those prices definitely don't make me more excited for AT&T's Galaxy Tab, especially when you compare them to the iPad data pricing ($15/250MB or $25/2GB per month). While it's important to note that these prices are still very much a rumor, if they're true, they definitely won't help convince consumers to pick up the Galaxy Tab rather than tablets from other manufacturers. The good thing about the Tab is that it'll be coming to all four major carriers, meaning we'll (hopefully) have a number of different choices when it comes to pricing. Just out of curiosity, how many of you would pay the above rates for data on your AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab?
