Rumor: BlackBerry Storm 3 photographed, sports 3.7-inch display

Earlier today we got to see two videos showing off the BlackBerry Style 9670, but that QWERTY clamshell isn't the only 'Berry to leak out today.  What you see in the photo above is said to be the upcoming BlackBerry Storm 3, and this new device differs quite a bit from what we previously learned about the Storm 3.  For starters, the screen on this new Storm 3 measures 3.7 inches, quite a step up from the Storm 2's 3.2-inch display.  Next up, you'll notice that the device above is sporting an optical trackpad, which would be a first for the Storm series.  Finally, the source has confirmed that the Storm 3 has 8 GB of internal storage.  There are also some rumored specs that are a little less than concrete that we may be able to gather from the paper in the shot above, such as BlackBerry 5 being preinstalled rather than BB 6 and the presence of augmented reality.  No news on a release date for the Storm 3, but we've heard either October or an "____ember" month in the past.

A previous Storm 3 leak suggested that the device would launch with BlackBerry 6 and a 3G mobile hotspot feature, so let's hope that those features make it into the new device.  If RIM were to ship the Storm 3 with BlackBerry 5 installed, I have a feeling that there would be more than a few disappointed customers.  Not all of the new information is bad, though, as a 3.7-inch screen would definitely be a welcome addition, especially with the popularity of handsets sporting displays up to 4.3 inches in size.  The optical trackpad kind of seems like a strange addition, but it definitely wouldn't be the first time we've seen some sort of optical navigation device on an all-touch handset.
