Nokia hires Peter Skillman, former Palm VP of Design, as MeeGo UX chief

Nokia has certainly had its share of major departures in the past few days, but the company has been doing a good job of bringing on talent, as well.  Peter Skillman, former Vice President of Design at Palm, has been hired as Nokia's Vice President of MeeGo User Experience and Services.  Previously, Skillman spent 11 years at Palm and was part of the team that created the Palm Pre.

Screenshots of the MeeGo OS have appeared in the past, and we also saw it running on the leaked Nokia N9.  Many saw a resemblance to webOS in the leaked MeeGo screenshots, and now that Nokia has hired Peter Skillman, perhaps we'll see a little more of webOS in MeeGo.  Either way, my excitement for MeeGo just grew by about 20.  Now we just need some actual release information about the OS.  How about it, Nokia?
