webOS 2.0 and "Roadrunner" device show up in app logs

There has been a lot of speculation about when we'll see version 2.0 of Palm's webOS software and some new webOS-toting hardware.  According to PreCentral and a webOS developer, information on both are beginning to trickle out.  webOS dev Zhephree, maker of the Foursquare app for Palm's platform, has posted the logs of his app, and they contain some interesting info.  Besides the fact that there are way more Pres than Pixis using Foursquare, you can see an entry for a device called "Roadrunner."  On the list of OS versions, webOS 2.0 has made an appearance, as well.

This is the first we've heard of any Palm device called Roadrunner and the first mention of webOS 2.0 that didn't come from Palm itself.  Of course, entries like these can be faked, although Zhephree notes that it would be difficult.  For Palm's sake, I hope that this information is legit, because we could really use some new webOS software and hardware.  It's been a while since a Palm product has been in the spotlight and, even though webOS has gotten a lot of praise in the past, it's beginning to fade thanks to the lack of new products and the popularity of other platforms in the market.
