Better late than never, Yahoo! users - your search company has joined the Android Market with Mail, Messenger, and Search applications. As you would expect, Yahoo's new Mail app allows you to view various e-mail folders, like inbox, drafts, sent, spam, trash, and any custom folders you've made. You can utilize your Yahoo! address book or the one on your device, making it easy to find the e-mail address you're looking for. For you non-Gmail users that don't like Android's stock "Mail" application, Yahoo! Mail appears to be a clean, well-organized solution.
The Messenger app allows you to chat with Yahoo! Messenger and MSN friends, and like Google Talk, has the ability to run in the background. Emoticons are installed, so you can :-), :/, and :-O with ease. And finally, the Search app offers local search and voice search for those times that you're looking for a good restaurant in Manhattan.
