webOS 1.4.5 update coming soon, unless you're on AT&T

Users of Palm's webOS have been waiting for the 1.4.5 update since Palm admitted back in May that it was "coming soon."  According to PreCentral, it finally will be coming soon, as long as you're not on AT&T.  PreCentral's source says that the 1.4.5 update is "imminent," and that the reason for the delay was an unnamed carrier that needed to fix a small bug with the OS before release.  AT&T, on the other hand, just seems to be waiting to release the update with no real reason for doing so (that we know of, anyway).  The webOS 1.4.5 update will bring better control over PDK apps and as well as 3D gaming for the Pixi.  We suppose that it's better that all of the bugs get worked out of the update, even if it means we have to wait a little longer.  Hopefully AT&T has a similar reason for delaying the update to their Pre and Pixi-toting customers.  They already made their customers wait for the hardware, so their customers shouldn't have to wait to get the software, too.
