Well all of the rumors and speculations can finally come to rest. Nokia today officially announced the launch of the N82 multimedia phone. Nokia refers to the N82 as a ?multimedia computer optimized for photography, navigation an internet connectivity?. The computer reference might be a little hard to accept, but where the N82 truly shines is its photography and video capture/playback abilities.
With a 5MP camera, Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus, 20x digital zoom and a Xenon flash this phone can make just about anyone into a ?Jimmy Olsen? (bad Superman reference ? sorry). What's more impressive is that you can capture video at 30fps and play it back using the built in TV output connector.
Of course all of this technology doesn't come cheap ? estimates are for around 450 euros or about $650 dollars. I've only scratched the surface of what this phone is truly capable of, but suffice to say if it weren't so ugly I would actually consider picking one up.
