Fareed reviews upcoming HTC devices for PhoneDog.

HTC has a wide variety of new devices this year with features ranging from WiFi to fingerprint scanners and I wanted to take a few minutes to highlight what you can expect to see.

HTC P6500 - Code named the HTC SIRIUS the P6500 will be a new Pocket PC with Windows Mobile 6!! The P6500 will be Quad-band GSM and will have WiFi b/g built in. The phone will also have SD/MMC memory card expansion. The P6500 will have a 2 mega pixel camera but no flash. Yet still unconfirmed, it looks like the P6500 may have a fingerprint scanner on the front.

HTC P3400 - Considered to be a lower end device, the HTC P3400 is code named the HTC GENE. The P3400 will offer Bluetooth 2.0, SD expansion slot, Quad-band GSM and more. The P3400 is also expected to have WiFi built in.

HTC P3350 - Code named the HTC LOVE, the P3350 is similar to the HTC P3300 (Artemis) but does not have GPS built in. Everything else is almost the same compared to the P3300 but will have 256 MB ROM instead of 128 MB.

HTC P4550 - The P4550 or the Kaiser as it is also going to be called, will be the first keyboard slider phone from HTC that will have built in GPS. This device  will also have the standard WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, Quad-band GSM with UMTS video calling and more. The P4550 will have a 400 MHz processor as well.

HTC Advantage - Not missing out on the code names the HTC Advantage is going to be known as the HTC Athena or X7500. Usually HTC phones are either S-series for Smartphones and P-series for Pocket PC. The Advantage is a whole new line up of phones under the X-series. The Advantage will have a detachable keyboard, GPS, WiFi, 8 GB drive, 624 MHz processor, 3 mega pixel camera and a VGA camera for video calling. You can see the commercials and more details of the HTC advantage at: seehtc.com.

HTC P3450 - The P3450 is code named HTC ELF. The HTC P3450 will have Windows Mobile 6!! It is not confirmed yet but rumors have it that the P3450 will not have WiFi, but will have a 200MHz processor.

HTC P5500 - HTC has also announced the P5500 or the HTC NIKE as it will be called as well. The P5500 is similar to the o2 XDA Stealth because it is a slider with numeric keypad. The P5500 will run Windows Mobile 6 Professional, have a 400 MHz processor, GPS and WiFi.

HTC P6300 - Keep your eyes open for the P6300 from HTC, it is going to be code named the HTC Panda. The P6300 will have a 400 MHz processor along with WiFi and Windows Mobile 5. The phone will not offer GPS and is also a tri-band GSM device and will not have the 850 GSM band for North America.

HTC S630 - The HTC S630 is code named HTC Cavalier and will offer a 400 MHz processor. This device seems to be their new version of the T-Mobile Dash and HTC S620. With a boxier look the S630 resembles the Motorola Q and Samsung Blackjack.

HTC S420 - The newer version of the famous HTC Star Trek and better known as the Cingular 3125 is going to be the S420, code named the HTC ERATO.  The S420 will have a 400 MHz processor along with GPS and FM radio.  Im disappointed that the S420 will not have built in WiFi.  This would have been an excellent upgrade from the 3125. The S420 will be Quad-band GSM and will weigh only 99 grams.

HTC S710 -
Code named the VOX, the HTC S710 will be running Windows Mobile 6 Standard edition. The S710 will be the first keyboard slider for smartphone and the best part is that it will have a numeric keypad as well!! The S710 will be Quad-band GSM, have built in WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, micro SD expandable memory and a 200 MHz processor.

HTC S730 - Last but not least, the S730 from HTC will also be known as WINGS. This newer version of the S710 will offer built in GPS, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, 2 mega pixel camera, micro SD expansion and much more.

With a large line-up of new devices, HTC is not promising or giving final specifications for all of these devices yet.  Some of these devices have not yet been formally announced by HTC and can be changed before release.  So keep your eyes and ears open for all of these great new HTC phones.
