Why You Should Buy Apple AirPods

Why you should buy the Apple AirPods:

Reason #1: Portable

The Apple AirPods are portable. In the box, you get a carrying case that looks just like a container of dental floss. Seriously, if this had Crest or Oral-B plastered on it, you would have no idea wireless EarPods can be found inside. This little case can fit in your pocket without adding too much bulk. It goes without saying that it can easily be stored in a backpack or a bag as well. You also don’t have to worry about bringing along a charging cradle as this case is the charging cradle. You simply plug in a lightning cable into the case to charge the AirPods.

That leads us to reason #2.

Reason #2: Battery Life

The dental floss container itself features a battery that Apple says can provide more than 24 hours of battery life. The AirPods themselves have up to 5 hours of battery life per charge, which is more than enough for most people I would say. I would really be surprised if you listen to music via earphones for more than 5 hours straight. But if you do, you can pop your AirPods back into the cradle to charge them back up. Fifteen minutes of charging equals three hours of battery life, according to Apple.

Reason #3: No Wires

The AirPods are wireless. They’re just like the EarPods, except that there’s no wire coming out of the bottom of each pod. This means they’re tangle free. I also found that personally, they stay in my ears better than their wired counterparts. I originally thought it was the design of the pods themselves that actually caused them to fall out of my ears but it was actually the wires that would ever so slightly wiggle the pods to make them fall out of my ears.

Reason #4: Easy Setup

The AirPods feature the W1 chip, which connects seamlessly to your Apple products. You power on your iPhone, for example, flip open the case and you’ll see the pods automatically connect. It is that easy. There’s no witchcraft or special effects going on behind the scenes. And if you switch to a MacBook, for example, the AirPods will detect the MacBook and let you connect to it.

Reason #5: Sensors

Reason number five is the accelerometer and optical sensors. They work with the W1 chip to automatically control the audio and engage the microphone, giving you the ability to use one or both AirPods. They also enable AirPods to play sound as soon as they’re in your ears. It’s kind of a little thing that really make or break a product. The accelerometer and optical sensors definitely helped make this product. However, the double tap support for Siri, while nice, is just not that great. Siri just isn’t the best assistant out there.

So those are five reasons why you should buy the AirPods. Stay tuned for our next video highlighting the reasons why you should not buy the Apple AirPods.
