Top 5 reasons to buy Samsung Galaxy S7 edge over the Galaxy S7!

Samsung's latest duo of Galaxy devices are causing a stir. A couple of days ago, I put up 5 reasons why you should buy the S7 over the edge. Well now, here are 5 reasons why you should buy the edge over the S7.

#1: Design

Starting off with number one is the most obvious reason: the design. The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge blew us away last year with its dual edge design, which was massively better looking than the Note edge from two years ago. The S7 edge embraces that dual edge design by making it look even better. It also makes for a physically thinner phone that feels even thinner due to the curves on the front and now the back. They've also reduced the sharp feeling in the hand. It's still there but not quite as noticeable as the S6 edge.

#2: Improved edge App

Next up at number two is the improved edge apps. The first iteration of Samsung's edge apps were sort of flat. Only things like favorite contacts and whatnot lived in that area. Now, it's better but it's still not super customizable. We now have an option to add quick launch icons to launch some of your favorite apps, we have your contacts still, and we now have things like Yahoo Sports, News, Stocks, and a few others. While third-party developers are slowly adding to the party, it's still not quite as immersive as we first hope it to be.

#3: Size

Number three is a no-brainer. Unlike the S6 edge, the S7 edge isn't the same size as the S7. It has a larger 5.5-inch display and some people just prefer the larger phone. Though it seems that Samsung has capitalized the need for a larger S variant so we won't probably have an S7 edge Plus this year.

#4: Battery

Next is the larger battery. Compared to the S6 edge, the S7 edge has grown a full 1,000 mAh. It's now packing a 3,600 mAh battery which is larger than the S7, Note 5 and S6 edge Plus. It has also proven to be one of the best Android phones in the battery life department a stark difference when compared to the device last year, which had one of the worst battery performances.

#5: Color

And at number 5, well it's the titanium color. Actually, I couldn't think of another upside other than the color. The titanium color is only available on the S7 edge here in the States and it's one of the best looking colors on the S7 edge. And for me, that's enough of a reason to buy it.

So those are my top five reasons why you should buy an edge over the S7. Though in the end, both of these devices are extremely similar and I think you'll be extremely pleased with either one of them in your pockets.
