Samsung Galaxy S II vs. HTC Amaze 4G Dogfight Part 1

It's an epic throwdown between two hot T-Mobile Android phones!  Aaron pits T-Mobile's Samsung Galaxy S II against the HTC Amaze 4G.  The Galaxy S II is the third version of the iconic device to land in the United States, and it offers a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 CPU, 4.52-inch Super AMOLED Plus display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording capabilities, a front-facing camera, 1,850 mAh battery (which is the largest out of the three US Galaxy S II variants), and Android 2.3.5 with TouchWiz 4.0.  It retails for $229.99 with a two-year contract.

The HTC Amaze 4G, on the other hand, sports a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S3 processor, 4.3-inch qHD display, 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording (which HTC claims is the best camera on any smartphone), a front-facing shooter, 1,730 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.4 with HTC's Sense 3.0.  It's housed in a beautiful metal body, and is available at T-Mobile for $259.99.

The Amaze 4G is a bit more expensive, but the build quality is much better and the camera is impressive.  That said, the Galaxy S II's display is larger and it has a bigger battery.  Which one will win in the dogfight?  Part 1 of 2.
