Best Tech of October 2015!

It’s the year 2015, the year where new technology and breakthroughs in science happen each and every day across the world. In the tech space, we see new gadgets announced each and every day. So I thought I would show you some of the best tech announced each and every month, starting with the month of October. Obviously, I can’t cover all of the tech released each month; that would be crazy. So I just focused on some of my favorites.

With that said, I have four products here that were released right around the month of October. They include the JayBird X2 Wireless Bluetooth earbuds, the Belkin iPhone + Apple Watch dock, the Moto 360 (2015), and the FurniQi Wirelessly Charging Table. I selected these items in particular because they can all work together. For example, you can listen to music on your JayBird X2 earphones from your Moto 360 (2015), which is paired with your iPhone. The iPhone can be charged via Belkin dock and the Moto 360 (2015) can be charged via the FurniQi Wirelessly Charging Table. How cool is that?

JayBird X2 Wireless Earbuds

The first item is the JayBird X2 Wireless Earbuds. These are the successors to the very popular and highly acclaimed JayBird Bluebuds X2 earphones. For about $180, the X2 Wireless Earbuds have improved in several key areas. First of all, they feature enhanced comfort fit sport earphones to basically help these earphones stay securely fastened in your ear while you work out or do something active. They also include premium sport phone ear tips of different sizes to remain a comfortable fit for long periods of time. They have an 8-hour battery life, they are sweat-proof, and best of all they sound great.

Naturally, Bluetooth headsets don’t sound quite as good as wired headsets because some of the quality is lost through the Bluetooth connection. With the X2 earbuds, the quality is really good. Delivering a warm, not too overpowering base with some solid knits. I’m not an audiophile by any means but they sound really good. But the ability to listen to music while running on a treadmill or playing basketball without a smartphone or iPod in your pocket and without an annoying cord always getting in your way—it’s really nice. #WirelessFTW #WirelessAllTheThings

The JayBird X2 earbuds cost about $180.

Belkin iPhone + Apple Watch Dock

The next item, in my opinion, is the most stylish Apple Watch and iPhone charging dock. It’s from Belkin, you might have heard of them. And it’s one of the only docks that I’ve used and seen with an integrated charger for the Apple Watch. Usually you have to install your own charger so that’s super convenient. It’s also Apple certified and it’s available on the Apple Store, meaning it’s legit and certified to work and work pretty darn well.

In terms of the design, you have metal with some more metal and a side of metal. The base and the frame are all crafted with aluminum and finished in chrome. There’s a little dialer on the back of the dock to raise or lower the lightning connector so that it can essentially fit most or pretty much every iPhone case thick or thin. Belkin also includes a little plastic clip to attach to the back of the Apple Watch charging pad to essentially prop up the Apple Watch bands for a better display.

For $130, the Belkin dock for the Apple Watch and iPhone is easily in my top 10 most gorgeous tech accessories. It looks pretty good.

Moto 360 (2015)

The next item was an item that began shipping on the end of September and then to early October. It’s the new second generation Moto 360. The version you are looking at here is the men’s 42mm model. You can, however, use Moto Maker to get the men’s 46mm model for an additional $50. You can also get a women’s 42mm model which features a rose gold color accent or champagne gold. If I were of female sexual orientation, I would wear that but that might sound a little bit weird so I’ll just say this: “my girlfriend likes the looks of the 42mm women’s model.”

Really, the biggest new design change from the original 360 is with these lugs—on the top and bottom of the watch, they add a classical element to the design. Paired with the stock leather band or a custom leather band, this becomes a very stylish watch that can deliver you notifications from your Android or iOS device. Its price starts at $300 and you can customize it for free using Moto Maker.

FurniQi Wireless Charging Table

In this point of the video, I’m sure you’ve been eyeing the table. This is the FurniQi Wireless Charging Side Table. It’s the very first in a range of products designed to combine stylish furniture and wireless power. The table itself is built from hand-harvested Mao Zhu Bamboo. It’s sustainable, easy to assemble and affordable. Quite simply, it just looks sleek and modern. Like I said, it’s super simple to assemble. There are literally only four screws you have to screw into the tabletop to mount the legs. And then there are four cable management pads that basically stick to one of the legs and will kind of hide the charging cable and then four additional pads that stick to the bottom of each of the four legs to prevent the table from scratching on any wood or tile flooring.

But what makes this table particularly techy, besides the fact that tech looks good sitting on it, is that it features a Qi Wireless Charging Pad built into the tabletop. All you have to do to take advantage of it is just place a Qi-enabled device on the pad and it’ll begin charging. That’s it. The pad itself is flushed with the top of the table and has the same finish as the table itself. The FurniQi Wireless Charging Table costs $120 and is actually available on IndieGoGo. It’ll ship in December, if it reaches its goal so if you are interested, I’ll leave a link in the description.

With that said, those are some of the best tech devices of October 2015. Obviously, I couldn’t include every new tech item from the month of October so if you have any recommendations of tech for me to check out and for others to check out as well, let me know in a comment below.
