Two days after releasing iOS 10.1 beta 4, Apple has unleashed yet another iOS 10.1 beta update.
iOS 10.1 beta 5 is now rolling out to registered developers and public testers. The update appears to only be available to iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus devices, suggesting that it includes the cellular connectivity bug fix that was included with the iOS 10.0.3 update that rolled out to the public this week.
The major addition to iOS 10.1 is Portrait Mode, a feature for the iPhone 7 Plus that’ll help users applied a blurred background to their photos. There are likely some other bug fixes and performance improvements as well.
Apple hasn’t said when iOS 10.1 will be released to the public. Now that we’re on the fifth beta release, though, we could see the full iOS 10.1 rollout happen sometime in the coming weeks. Stay tuned.
