Less than a week after a massive leak revealed the LG G4 ahead of its official event, LG has confirmed the device’s design and stitched leather backside.
An image posted to LG Mobile’s Facebook page shows the backside of the LG G4, sporting a “vegetable-tanne leather cover” and what looks to be a slight curve, just like last weekend’s leak showed. We can also see the phone’s rear button setup and camera with flash.
In addition to this brown leather, the LG G4 is expected to be available with black, red, blue, beige, and yellow leather covers. There will also be white, black, and gold plastic-backed versions of the device, according to recent leaks.
The LG G4 won’t be the first smartphone with a leather backside, what will be unique about its leather is that it’s got stitching going directly down the middle of its rear. While the leather itself should age nicely, it’ll be interesting to see how that stitching holds up over an extended period of ownership.
