T-Mobile confirmed last month that it plans to offer the BlackBerry Z10 to its customers. So far there's been no official word on exactly when that launch will happen, but today T-Mobile said something regarding the Z10 launch that ought to make the BlackBerry fans in the Magenta Army pretty happy. T-Mobile has told Bloomberg that it's working to be the first U.S. carrier to sell the Z10 in March. Along with T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon have committed to launching the Z10. Frank Sickinger, T-Mo's head of business sales, added that it appears that his operator will start selling the Z10 in "mid-March," with business customers expected to get a chance to buy the device around a week before the full retail launch. T-Mobile will sell the Z10 for $199.
While T-Mobile has been somewhat vague when it comes to its expected BlackBerry Z10 launch date, the rumor mill hasn't been afraid to churn out a date that customers hungry for some BlackBerry 10 can mark on their calendars. A recently-leaked T-Mobile roadmap claims that the Z10 will hit Magenta on March 27, complete with support for the carrier's upcoming 4G LTE network. The Z10 will be the first BlackBerry 10 handset to hit the U.S., but it'll be doing so around month and a half after its Canadian and U.K. launches, so it'll be interesting to see both how well the Z10 sells at launch here and how BlackBerry and the carriers plan to help build up customer interest in it.
