It took nearly five months to for the Samsung Galaxy Note II's color selection to grow from two options to four, but Samsung didn't wait nearly as long to add a fifth color to the group. Samsung's Taiwanese arm today announced a new "cherry blossom pink" version of the Galaxy Note II, complete with a matching pink S Pen. This new Note II is the same as the previous models when it comes to specs, featuring a 5.5-inch 1280x720 HD Super AMOLED display, 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear/1.9-megapixel front cameras and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The pink Note II is expected to go on sale in Taiwan by the end of February for NT$22,900, or around $774 U.S. dollars.
Samsung is known for releasing their Galaxy phones in several new colors, including the Galaxy S II, Galaxy S III and original Galaxy Note, all of which were eventually made available with pink duds somewhere in the world. That's why it's not a shock to see that the Note II, which has moved over five million units since its launch, get the same treatment. Whether or not we'll ever see this pink Note II hit the U.S. or some countries remains to be seen, but hey, importing is always an option for someone that wants an international device badly enough.
