Good news today for T-Mobile customers that are fans of plain ol' vanilla Android, as the magenta operator has revealed availability information concerning the both the Nexus 4 and the T-Mobile-flavored Nexus 7. T-Mobile just told us that it expanded the availability of the Nexus 4 in its retail stores yesterday, Jan. 15. This comes just a few days after we got wind of Nexus 4 units being shipped to T-Mobile stores, but at the time it wasn't clear when those devices would actually begin hitting shelves. T-Mobile also says the Nexus 4 will arrive in all of its stores "in the coming weeks." For folks that prefer to buy new smartphones without leaving the house, T-Mobile's website is expected to be restocked with Nexus 4 units on Jan. 23.
As I've noted before, the Nexus 4 has been a pretty difficult product to buy ever since its launch, and the device has been sold out on Google's official Play Store for weeks now. T-Mobile has been offering the Nexus 4 in select stores and online for a while now, but this expanded availability means that more customers will get the chance to finally snag a Nexus 4.
T-Mobile also revealed today that its version of the 32GB Nexus 7 HSPA+ is now available for purchase in the Google Play Store. The T-Mobile Nexus 7 is priced at $299 (just like the AT&T model), features support for 21Mbps HSPA+ speeds and can run on the 850, 900, 1700, 1900, and 2100MHz bands. That means that it'll work with T-Mobile's regular 3G network as well as its refarmed 1900MHz HSPA+ coverage.
