Dell made its Android-powered Venue official just about a month ago, but at the time there was no word on if the device would appear stateside. Today we can finally confirm that, yes, the Venue is available to interested U.S.-based customers on either T-Mobile or AT&T. Dell is offering two different models of the Venue, both of which come unlocked: one compatible with AT&T 3G, and one that works with T-Mobile's flavor of 3G. Since it's available unlocked, directly from Dell, and contract-free, you'll be paying quite a bit for the Venue; $499.99, to be exact. Still, for that $500, you'll be getting a device with a 4.1-inch 800x480 AMOLED display, 1GHz core, 8 megapixel camera, 1GB of flash storage, 512MB RAM, a microSD card, and Android 2.2. Orders will be shipped on February 18th.
That $500 price tag might be hard to swallow for some of us, but it's actually not a bad deal for a device with Froyo and a 4.1-inch AMOLED screen. The best part is that there are models that work with either AT&T or T-Mobile, so no one is left out! Well, except for those of us that use CDMA. What do you all think of the Venue? Does it seem like a worthwhile handset?
