Yesterday Sony said that PlayStation 5 pre-orders would begin today, September 17, but they ended up going live throughout last night at various retailers. Now Microsoft has revealed that Xbox Series X and S pre-orders are scheduled to kick off at the same time across several retailers.
Microsoft says that pre-orders for the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S will begin at 8:00 am PT / 11:00 am ET next Tuesday, September 22. As noted by VentureBeat's Jeff Grubb, retailers that'll be taking pre-orders include Amazon, Target, Walmart, Best Buy, Costco, Sam's Club, Gamestop, Newegg, and Army and Airforce Exchange service.
Both consoles will launch globally on November 10.
When it comes to pricing, the Xbox Series X will be priced at $499 while the Xbox Series S will be $299.
You'll also have the option of buying either console on a monthly payment plan with Xbox All Access. With this program, there are no upfront costs, and you'll pay for the Xbox Series X with 24 monthly payments of $34.99 while the Xbox Series S will be $24.99 for 24 months.
Xbox All Access includes Xbox Live Gold for multiplayer gaming plus Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gets you access to more than 100 Xbox games to play on your console, more than 100 games to play on PC, and more than 100 games to play from the cloud (like on an Android phone) using xCloud. It also includes an EA Play membership that'll let you play more than 60 EA games on console and PC.
